Our breeding females are Sandie, Cusa, Natalie and our new chocolate girl, Moka Loca. Big Brown Boy aka Brownie, is our only boy.
They are mated with hand-picked studs, usually of champion lineage and are AKC certified. We have an
air-conditioned garage with a whelping box and have made it as comfortable
as possible for our girls when they give birth. Leonel is the "mid-wife" and stays with them from start to
finish and then continues to stay with them for the next few nights to be sure everyone is okay!
Leonel stays with the new mom and her babies 24/7 for the first few days. The puppies are monitored at all times
and their area is routinely cleaned and sterilized several times a day. Friends,
family and prospective puppy owners are encouraged to come and visit and handle the new
babies, after they have had their first vaccinations. As the pups grow older, open their eyes and start to walk, they are transferred to an outdoor kennel where they spend their
time running and exercising in the sunshine and fresh air awaiting visits from their new families! Mom stays with the pups until they are about four weeks old (and have teeth). Their water bowls are refreshed
constantly.
We administer four series of dewormings and two series of puppy shots as well as one application of bortadella vaccine. Our female adults come from a long line of champions.
We also micro-chip our puppies, a micro-chip is a means of identification in case the dog is lost or stolen a Vet or the local Humane Society will scan the back of the dog's neck and an identification
number will show to whom the dog is registered.
New owners are asked to bring their new puppy to their Veterinarian for a complete
health check-up within the first week of purchasing a YabaLab.
